The Aswan hotel starts giving out breakfast boxes at 5 AM.
After that, the "Egypt Accessible Travel" driver will take you to the two Temples of Abu Simbel, which are often thought of as the best examples of ancient Egyptian architecture because of how unique and eye-catching they are.
They show how great and important the new monarchy will be.
The Egyptian government and UNESCO agreed they needed to work together to protect these landmarks from rising sea levels.
The Ramses II Temple was built to honor Ramses II, Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, and Amun-Re. This honor went all the way up to Ramsses II. The beautiful structure at Abu Simbel is also called Ramses II's Temple to the Sun God.
Hathor was the partner of the Sun Goddess, so Nefertari's Temple is also called Hathor's Temple.
So, the two Temples dedicated to Ramesses II, Queen Nefertari, Hathor, and the Sun God bring them together.
We'll have lunch at a local restaurant in Aswan, and then you'll have some time on your own to look around and relax before we take you back to your hotel in Luxor.
There will be both breakfast and lunch.
